    Dear Maria,

I was so happy to “meet” you at Philip’s blog and your’s is wonderful as well. Your writing is joy in my ears and eyes and soul – so beautiful and ringing true. I have something for you in celebration of Spring and our love of Goddess that I would like to send to you off-line in an email. Let me know if you’d like to receive it, and if so, where I can send it to you. Love, Gabriella

Greetings Maria Dear – Wonderful Word Weaver!

I have been trying to email you but have received a “failure notice” to your account. This had happened once before as well. Have you noticed any problems with in-coming mail?

I sent the same mail again today – maybe it made its way throught to you this time. I hope so! If you don’t see a message from me in your inbox today, could you please let me know? Perhaps you have an alternate address to which I could send it?

With much love and many blessings from a sunny Sunday in the Black Forest – Abnoba Land –

    Your,

    Gabriella

Hi Maria, I’m a new follower of your blog. As a fellow writer I agree with Philip whole-heartedly. I loved what I read so far, specifically the bit about Kali and about gratitude. Very true. Thank you.

Hello fellow walker of the old paths,

I was hoping you might be so kind as to share a link to a fundraiser my Grove is hosting with your readers, friends, members, anyone and everyone.

We are raising funds through fundraise.com to purchase a very special woodland area that is in danger of falling victim to “development.” We hope to be able to raise enough funds to purchase the property and allow for the creation therein of a Nemeton open to any and all who would come in peace.

    This is the shortlink

Thank you so very much for your consideration and help,

Of course but the link doesn’t appear to work, I’m afraid. Do you have another? Best of luck with the fund raising!

It didn’t work for me either – and apparently no ‘update’. A ‘spoofmail’ perhaps? (One has to be so careful these days.)

Hi Kate! Lovely to hear from you! Thank you so much for your kind words. Sadly, my blog has been a little neglected of late. Since I saw you at the Retreat, life has brought many major life changes and I don’t seem to have got back into a regular routine with writing. I hope to though and have also been working on a book idea.

Hope all is well with you!

      Hi Carl,

So sorry – my blog has been a bit neglected, been having some health problems but hoping to be writing more in the New Year. The artist is Patrica Ariel: http://art.patricia-ariel.com/. Love her paintings – just gorgeous!

[…] “Beltane is so much about the urge to connect, to blend and merge; to feel a part of something extraordinary; to at once lose one’s sense of self in that merging but also to paradoxically feel more absolutely and truly oneself because of it. In the desire to penetrate life’s mysteries, we need also to open ourselves to them, surrendering to the power of love that it may have the opportunity to transform us. Great things are born in us at such moments of union; this place of merging is where the tap root of our creativity feeds, without it we feel dry and disconnected. If that magical, alchemical moment of connection and merging were a colour, I suspect it might be perceived as many beautiful, vibrant shades but its foundation, I feel sure, would be the green of spring: ecstatically joyful – the irrepressible life and desire that leads us to love.” — Maria Ede-Weaving […]

Hi Marcia, so sorry it has taken so long to reply – haven’t been very active here. Do take a look at the OBOD website: http://www.druidry.org/. You will find lots of info about Druid practice and belief. OBOD also have course and there are Groves and groups too. You might want to have a look here: http://www.earthstars.co.uk/ – they are an OBOD Grove and would be happy to chat with you. If you have any questions do feel free to ask me.

      All good wishes!

I loved your latest blog Maria, which aligns so much with my own ideas about the ‘plurality’ of deity worship as well as my affinity to the Ancient Egyptian tradition, and can certainly empathize with your concept of the attributes of Sekhmet/Bast depending on my own needs at a particular time and have images of both Goddesses on my altar.
    .
Have you been following the excellent Radio 4 Series ‘Living with the Gods’ by Neil Macgregor (9.45/8.45)? Well worth a listen, and the whole 30 episodes are available as a podcast. It’s been made in conjunction with the British Museum, with Neil using various artifacts to illustrate each episode. A book of the series is also in progress. (I’ve pre-ordered it on Amazon!)
